About Machining Specialists, Inc.

• 1976 - Company founded as Sharpening Specialists, Inc.- manufacturer of cutting tools doing some machining work.
• 1990 - Decision made to concentrate on the manufacture of aerospace parts.
• 1995 - Sharpening Specialists Division sold. Corporate name changed to Machining Specialists, Inc. to better reflect our capabilities.
• 2000 - Assembly Division added.
• December 2000 - Relocated to new 25,000 sq. ft facility.
• January 2004 - Sheet Metal Division added.
• March 2004 - 5000 sq. ft addition completed.
• November 2006 - November 2007 - Horizontal pallet pools and long travel vertical equipment added.
• November 2006 - Relocated shipping and some assembly operations to adjacent 3000 sq. ft facility.
• Late 2007 - With the purchase of another building to the north of our current location, we will be expanding our sheet metal and assembly operations. We are also purchasing two more Komo machines to further increase our capacity for long parts.
